Patl\u0131cangiller familyas\u0131ndan olan bu t&uuml;r&uuml;n &uuml;retimi, do\u011fal ekolojisinde &ccedil;ok y\u0131ll\u0131k olmas\u0131na ra\u011fmen ekonomik bir &uuml;retim i&ccedil;in tek y\u0131ll\u0131k &uuml;retim \u015fekli tercih edilmelidir.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n&Ccedil;ok y\u0131ll\u0131k &ccedil;al\u0131 formunda b&uuml;y&uuml;yen pepino bitkisi, literat&uuml;rdeki bilgilere g&ouml;re deniz seviyesinden 800-2700 m y&uuml;ksekliklerde, 15-25 <sup>o<\/sup>C ve &nbsp;%60-80 oransal neme sahip alanlarda yeti\u015ftirilebilmektedir.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nTicari ama&ccedil;la Pepino &uuml;retimi tek y\u0131ll\u0131k olarak ana&ccedil;l\u0131k bitkilerden al\u0131nan ve k&ouml;klendirilen &ccedil;eliklerle yap\u0131l\u0131r. Dikim i\u015flemi 0,5-1 metre s\u0131ra aras\u0131, 0,5 metre s\u0131ra &uuml;zeri mesafeler verilmek suretiyle yap\u0131l\u0131r.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nDo\u011fal olarak b\u0131rak\u0131l\u0131rsa k\u0131sa s&uuml;rede &ccedil;al\u0131 formunu al\u0131r. Bu sebeple budama yapmak \u015fartt\u0131r. Pepinoda budama uygun say\u0131da ana g&ouml;vde b\u0131rak\u0131lmas\u0131 ve bunlar &uuml;zerindeki yan dallar\u0131n fazla b&uuml;y&uuml;meden periyodik olarak al\u0131nmas\u0131 \u015feklinde uygulanmaktad\u0131r. 2-3 adet ana g&ouml;vde b\u0131rakmak idealdir. B&ouml;ylelikle daha iyi \u0131\u015f\u0131klanma dolay\u0131s\u0131yla meyve tutumu artt\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015f olur. Zaman zaman yaprak budamas\u0131 yapman\u0131n da faydas\u0131 vard\u0131r. D&ouml;rd&uuml;nc&uuml; &ccedil;i&ccedil;ek salk\u0131m\u0131ndan sonra ana dallarda tepe budamas\u0131 yapman\u0131n da meyve kalitesine olumlu y&ouml;nde faydas\u0131 bulunmaktad\u0131r.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<span class=\"gs-wm-wrap\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/stories\/KUTUPHANE\/KOSE_YAZARLARI\/ENGIN\/pepino1.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"pepino1\" title=\"pepino1\" hspace=\"10\" vspace=\"5\" width=\"350\" height=\"262\" align=\"left\" \/><i class=\"gs-wm-badge\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span>Pepino s\u0131cak- kurak ve so\u011fuk hava ko\u015fullar\u0131na olduk&ccedil;a duyarl\u0131d\u0131r. Suyu &ccedil;ok sever, yaz aylar\u0131nda haftada 2-3 kez sulanmas\u0131 gerekir.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nTohumdan &uuml;retim \u015fans\u0131 &ccedil;ok az olan bu t&uuml;r&uuml;n, kolay k&ouml;klenme \u015fans\u0131na sahip olmas\u0131 nedeniyle &uuml;retimi genellikle &ccedil;elikle yap\u0131lmaktad\u0131r. Doku k&uuml;lt&uuml;r&uuml; teknikleri ile &ccedil;o\u011falt\u0131lmas\u0131 olduk&ccedil;a kolayd\u0131r. Ticari anlamda pepino &ccedil;elikle &ccedil;o\u011falt\u0131l\u0131r. Elde edilen &ccedil;elikler torf veya bah&ccedil;e topra\u011f\u0131nda haz\u0131rlanan &ccedil;o\u011faltma ortam\u0131nda yar\u0131ya kadar topra\u011fa sokulurlar. Suyu &ccedil;ok sevdi\u011finden dolay\u0131 s\u0131k s\u0131k sulama yap\u0131l\u0131r. Bir hafta sonra k&ouml;klenen &ccedil;elikler saks\u0131lara veya naylon torbalara dikilir. K&ouml;klendirme ortam\u0131 15 &nbsp;<sup>o<\/sup>C&#39; nin alt\u0131nda olmamal\u0131d\u0131r. 18-23 <sup>o<\/sup>C s\u0131cakl\u0131k ve %80-90 nem i&ccedil;eren ortamlarda daha iyi k&ouml;klendi\u011fi tespit edilmi\u015ftir.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nPepinonun &ccedil;i&ccedil;ekleri 1-20 &ccedil;i&ccedil;ekten olu\u015fan &ccedil;i&ccedil;ek salk\u0131mlar\u0131 \u015feklinde ve kendisi ile ayn\u0131 familyaya ait patl\u0131can\u0131n &ccedil;i&ccedil;ekleri ile benzerlik g&ouml;stermektedir. Salk\u0131mlardaki &ccedil;i&ccedil;eklerde, &ccedil;e\u015fitlere ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak de\u011fi\u015fmekle birlikte 1-12 adet meyve olu\u015fmaktad\u0131r. Her &ccedil;i&ccedil;ek salk\u0131m\u0131nda &ccedil;e\u015fide g&ouml;re de\u011fi\u015fmekle beraber 8-12 meyve olu\u015fmakta, bazense hi&ccedil; meyve olu\u015fmamaktad\u0131r. Kaliteyi artt\u0131rmak i&ccedil;in meyveler ceviz b&uuml;y&uuml;kl&uuml;\u011f&uuml;ne gelince meyve seyreltmesi yap\u0131lmal\u0131d\u0131r. Seyreltmeden sonra salk\u0131mdaki meyve say\u0131s\u0131 2 veya 3 olmal\u0131d\u0131r. \u0130lk salk\u0131mdaki meyvelerin kalitesi iyi olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan ikinci ve sonraki salk\u0131mdaki meyveler tutulmaktad\u0131r.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nBa\u015flang\u0131&ccedil;ta meyveler ye\u015fildir. Normal irili\u011fe ula\u015f\u0131p olgunla\u015fmaya ba\u015flad\u0131klar\u0131nda sap &ccedil;ukurundan meyve ucuna do\u011fru \u015feritler halinde uzanan mor &ccedil;izgiler olu\u015fmaktad\u0131r. Yeme olgunlu\u011funa gelen meyveler krem-sar\u0131 renkte, bol sulu ve kavun aromal\u0131d\u0131r. Bu sebeple baz\u0131 &uuml;lkelerde <strong>&quot;Armut Kavun&quot;<\/strong> olarak adland\u0131r\u0131lmaktad\u0131r. Do\u011fal ortamda &ccedil;ok y\u0131ll\u0131k &uuml;retim \u015fans\u0131na sahip oldu\u011fu halde, ekonomik anlamda tek y\u0131ll\u0131k &uuml;retim tercih edilmektedir. Meyve a\u011f\u0131rl\u0131\u011f\u0131 40-50 gramdan 1.300 grama kadar &ccedil;\u0131kabilmektedir. Genellikle tercih edilen meyve a\u011f\u0131rl\u0131\u011f\u0131 150-600 gram aras\u0131ndad\u0131r.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nPepino meyvesi kavun aromal\u0131, meyve eti sulu ve ince kabuklu olup meyveleri partenokarpik olu\u015ftu\u011fundan meyve i&ccedil;erisinde tohum bulunmamakta ve meyvesi t&uuml;m&uuml;yle yenilebilmektedir. Daha sonra Sakarya &Uuml;niversitesi taraf\u0131ndan b&ouml;lgeye adaptasyon &ccedil;al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 ba\u015flat\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.&nbsp; Kivi, kavun ve \u015feftali tatlar\u0131n\u0131n hepsini birden bar\u0131nd\u0131ran pepinonun C vitamini i&ccedil;ermesinin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra potasyum, kalsiyum, demir ve askorbik asit gibi mineralleride i&ccedil;ermektedir.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<strong>Engin KONTA\u015e<br \/>\nZiraat Y&uuml;k.
