Zeytin, 1998 y\u0131l\u0131 itibariyle 600.000 hektar alan &uuml;zerinde 94 milyon a\u011fa&ccedil; varl\u0131\u011f\u0131 ile tar\u0131m ekonomimizde &ouml;nemli bir yere sahiptir. D&uuml;nyan\u0131n en &ouml;nemli zeytinci &uuml;lkeleri aras\u0131nda yer alan T&uuml;rkiye dane zeytin &uuml;retimi bak\u0131m\u0131ndan d&uuml;nyada 4.s\u0131rada yer almakla birlikte &ouml;zellikle siyah zeytin &uuml;retiminde 1.s\u0131radad\u0131r. Elde edilen &uuml;r&uuml;n&uuml;n yakla\u015f\u0131k %75&rsquo;i ya\u011fl\u0131k, %25&rsquo;i ise sofral\u0131k olarak de\u011ferlendirilmektedir.<br \/>\n Zeytinya\u011f\u0131 y&uuml;zy\u0131llar boyunca lezzeti ve besleyici &ouml;zelliklerinin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra t\u0131bbi y&ouml;n&uuml;yle de &ouml;nemlidir. Yap\u0131lan ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar, zeytinya\u011f\u0131n\u0131n en kolay hazmedilen ya\u011f oldu\u011funu g&ouml;stermi\u015ftir. Yemeklerden &ouml;nce i&ccedil;ilirse mideyi &uuml;lsere kar\u015f\u0131 korudu\u011fu da bilinir. Ayn\u0131 \u015fekilde, ba\u011f\u0131rsak, idrar yollar\u0131, safra kesesi rahats\u0131zl\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131n azalt\u0131lmas\u0131nda ve gastritin giderilmesinde de etkilidir. &Ccedil;ocuklara &ouml;zellikle yararl\u0131d\u0131r, beynin geli\u015fimini ve kemiklerin g&uuml;&ccedil;lenmesini h\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131r. Il\u0131man iklimden ho\u015flanan zeytin i&ccedil;in k\u0131\u015f\u0131n dayanabilece\u011fi en d&uuml;\u015f&uuml;k s\u0131cakl\u0131k &ndash;7oC olup bu derecenin alt\u0131nda don zarar\u0131 artar. Ekonomik anlamda tatminkar bir yeti\u015ftiricilik a&ccedil;\u0131s\u0131ndan y\u0131l i&ccedil;erisinde iyi bir da\u011f\u0131l\u0131m g&ouml;stererek y\u0131ll\u0131k ya\u011f\u0131\u015f en az 400 mm. olmal\u0131d\u0131r. Zeytin genellikle kalkerli-kumlu, derin nemli ve besin maddelerince zengin topraklar\u0131 sever. Genellikle, d&uuml;zg&uuml;n ve k&ouml;\u015feleri dik a&ccedil;\u0131l\u0131 yerlerde kare, ara ziraat\u0131 yap\u0131lan yerlerde dikd&ouml;rtgen, geni\u015f sahalarda birim alanda daha fazla a\u011fa&ccedil; dikmek i&ccedil;in &uuml;&ccedil;gen dikim \u015fekilleri tercih edilir. Buna mukabil meyilli alanlarda toprak-su muhafaza tedbirleri al\u0131nd\u0131ktan sonra kontur dikim uygulan\u0131r. Dikim esnas\u0131nda &ccedil;ukurlara temel g&uuml;breleme uygulanmal\u0131d\u0131r. Zeytinliklerin \u015eubat-Mart aylar\u0131nda ilkbahar ya\u011fmurlar\u0131ndan &ouml;nce g&uuml;brelenmesi gerekmektedir.<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; G&uuml;bre uygulamalar\u0131nda azot, fosfor ve potas\u0131n hepsi birden verilece\u011fi gibi, fosfor ve potas\u0131n t&uuml;m&uuml; ile, azotun ise 2\/3&rsquo;&uuml; \u015eubat-Mart&rsquo;ta 1\/3&rsquo;&uuml; de meyve geli\u015fme d&ouml;neminde uygulanabilir.<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; SULAMA <br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Zeytin &uuml;retim alanlar\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n % 75&rsquo;i k\u0131r ve k\u0131r-taban gibi meyilli alanlarda olup % 90&rsquo;n\u0131 kuru \u015fartlarda bulunmaktad\u0131r.<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Zeytinde verimi etkileyen &ouml;nemli hususlardan birisi de topraktaki mevcut rutubetin muhafazas\u0131d\u0131r. Bunun i&ccedil;in al\u0131nacak tedbirler \u015funlard\u0131r :<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1. Meyilli arazilerde topra\u011f\u0131n daha fazla su tutmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flamak ve erozyonu &ouml;nlemek i&ccedil;in uygun tipte teraslar yapmak,<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 2. Sulama imkan\u0131 olmayan zeytinliklerde toprakta daha fazla su depolanmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flamak ve toprak rutubetini muhafaza etmek &uuml;zere toprak i\u015fleme ve yabani ot m&uuml;cadelesine &ouml;nem vermek,<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 3. Bunlar\u0131 gidermek i&ccedil;in ihtiya&ccedil; duydu\u011fu d&ouml;nemlerde sulamak gerekir. Sulamaya en &ccedil;ok ihtiya&ccedil; duyulan d&ouml;nem &ccedil;i&ccedil;eklenme sonu ile meyvede renk d&ouml;n&uuml;\u015f&uuml;m&uuml; a\u015famalar\u0131 aras\u0131ndaki d&ouml;nemdir. &Ouml;zellikle de &ccedil;ekirdek sertle\u015fme d&ouml;neminde zeytinin su ihtiyac\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131lanmal\u0131d\u0131r. Bu d&ouml;nemde sulama yap\u0131l\u0131rsa &uuml;r&uuml;n miktar\u0131 a\u011f\u0131rl\u0131k&ccedil;a artarken, &uuml;r&uuml;n&uuml;n sofral\u0131k de\u011feri de y&uuml;kselir.<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; BUDAMA <br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Sulama kadar budama da verime y&ouml;nelik uygulanan k&uuml;lt&uuml;rel i\u015flemlerden birisidir.
